Current Volunteer Requests

Assistant cook: A volunteer is needed to act as a replacement cook/kitchen helper. If one of the main cooks is not able to be present, this volunteer would fill in as a kitchen helper, cutting vegetables, assisting in serving, etc. Requirements: must have experience with cooking, be sociable (working with other volunteers) and speak English.

Graphic Designer: Creative volunteer with graphic design skills needed to help design and create new pamphlets, flyers, posters, etc to promote our community centre. We want eye-catching promotional material and we need your help to make it happen! Must be able to work independently. Hours are flexible. Volunteer can work at the centre or from home but must provide their own computer/laptop.

Exercise Class Animator: Volunteer needed to animate exercise program for seniors at our Rosemont Satellite Centre on Monday mornings. The average age of the participants is 75 and some have a loss of autonomy. The volunteer should have experience working with seniors and knowledge of what types of exercise are suitable for them. Examples of activities include stretching, chair yoga, and low impact aerobics.
